36 Week Visit

Today was our last ultrasound visit and the start of our weekly doctor visits. The next time we see our baby, he will be in our arms.

Peanut has the sweetest, pudgiest little cheeks, a little button nose and pouty little lips. When they moved the wand over his face, he put his arm up as if to say "don't disturb." It was so amazing to see his little lungs doing practice breathing and his heart beating away. He is 6lbs 5oz already. They gain a half a pound a week, so we're thinking he'll be about 8 lbs. Oh, and they confirmed that he has a big head. Both Mike and I were about 8 lbs and both have big noggins, so I am not surprised.

It is very surreal that we have created a little life that's living inside me and that we will meet him soon. Our son will be born in about a month's time. It is sinking in... slowly.

I can't wait for baby boy Hubik to make his appearance. Scott and I were making guesses on his name a few nights ago.

Annabel just did the startle reflex. She doesn't do it much anymore, but it's so cute every time. I predict it will be your favorite BB Hubik action in the first few weeks.
