Our baby is coming soon...
I am 36 weeks this week... 31 days until my due date... 3 weekends left... Plan for now, is to keep working until the end. I don't want to be bored at home, but if I start to feel tired, I may change my tune.
My friend Mary Beth from NC had her baby this weekend. A little girl named Sadie. She was 6lb 13oz. She was a month ahead of me. Congrats to MB and Bobby! MB and I have a weird name connection-fate thing going on. She and Bobby got married a few weeks after us. We are a month apart in age and were random neighbors in NC before deciding to be roommates. How many MBs do you know? I guess it's this MB's turn soon.
I have been having some "ow" contractions here and there, but nothing steady. I am ready for the "new normal" whenever Peanut is ready to come out. This lady in the bathroom line at Shady Grove on Thursday night was telling me that having a baby is all about getting your mind wrapped around the fact that there is a new normal. It's not going to be what you knew before, but it will be a new normal. I like that. I have noticed that women really like to share their experiences and wisdom with visibly pregnant ladies. They don't care if you are a stranger.
We ran into Mary Sledd last week at Mama Fus. She was taking pictures, as always, and took a picture of us. It was like old times.
