Sunday (un)Fun Day

I like this picture. We are on our way into church and for the first time in quite a few weeks, everyone is happy going to church. Why does the devil seem to try to make church a non-happy time for us? For some reason, the mere thought of getting everyone including myself dressed and looking nice and fed and into the nursery or pew on time makes me not a very fun Christian. I know this is a problem for me and this week I really tried to work on communicating with Michael better about what needed to be done to get five people out the door, keeping it simple, not feeling stressed and overall not being grumpy with everyone... I still have a long way to go, but there was progress. And we were a miraculous five minutes early!

I am so glad to hear that I'm not the only one that feels this way! It's a lot of work to get everyone up, dressed, fed, teeth brushed, hair brushed, diaper bags packed, and in the car on time. I also struggle with communicating to my DH where I need help in completing these tasks. As you walk into church next time and see another mom (or dad) with hands full, give her a big smile, you're not alone!
